About Us

Our Approach

We feel a relationship with Jesus, a strong community, serving others, and having fun, are key to lasting life transformation.  Jesus gave us two big commandments, to Love God and to Love Others. In Matthew 20:28, scripture says, “ For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others”.

We believe full transformation for those in recovery comes from:

  1. Accepting Christ and letting his power transform us (Jesus is the way, truth, and life, and knowing him changes everything)
  2. Surrounding ourselves with other believers who can encourage us and hold us accountable (it’s hard to do the wrong thing when surrounded by the right people)
  3. Developing a servants heart, this help us to focus on others and not just ourselves (this can really help others step into their purpose)
  4. Having fun with other believers (you can be sober and miserable, but what is the point in that? We want men and women to see you can actually have fun and be sober too)

Our Heart

It has been our passion at M18 to integrate residential recovery into the local church. We feel that success comes from the body of Christ and the local church. Often times men and women go through successful recovery programs but have limited resources, life skills, and accountability to help them continue their walk in freedom when they get out. When this happens, relapse and falling away are more prone. To help defeat this problem, we want to provide men and women with biblical knowledge, life skills, resources, and a strong church community where they can serve and be a part of something bigger. This allows the men & women to see a bigger picture and to have something to look forward too.

At M18 we are also passionate about getting to root issues. We help our men and women break through some of the barriers, trauma, and struggles they have through Biblical insight, counseling, and prayer.

We are also passionate about reuniting families. We understand that addiction can destroy marriages and break a part families and relationships. In return, we want to provide family support to marriages and families that can teach biblical principles on how to put God in the center of marriage and family.

At M18 we will relentlessly pursue “the one”. It is our duty as the church to go after the lost. In the current climate of our society, one of the most fruitful mission fields to accomplish this task is through residential recovery. Every single person is important and every single person matters to God.

Meet the Team

Blake & Ashley Polston

Executive Directors

Blake and Ashley love recovery. They have walked hand and hand with drug & alcohol addiction and have received freedom from their addiction through the power of Jesus Christ. They have a huge heart to help men and women walk in that same freedom that God desires. Blake served as an instructor at John 3:16 Ministries to help men find freedom in Christ and healing from Drug and Alcohol addiction, this is where a dream was birthed inside of him to help others just like him, get the help they need. When Ashley gave her life to Christ, becoming clean followed. As she took on a new way of life, she realized she wanted to help the child all the way to the adult that has been impacted by addiction. Together, they have combined  their individual experiences in recovery and birthed M18 Recovery. Blake and Ashley have both experienced the miracles that only Christ can do and it is their passion to share those miracles to each person they come across.
